Over the past months, we have looked at the stages of a project. From the Initial Consultation to Construction Administration, our process is unique and provides each client a customized experience. In today's post, we will discuss the final phase, the Project Close Out.

Once the construction drawings are completed, the contractor is chosen, and the permits are in hand, construction can begin! All of our clients look forward to the day that work begins on their project. While this phase is very exciting, it can also be very stressful. That is why at HDID, we have a framework in place to keep the line of communication open between all stakeholders throughout the duration of the project. This is what we officially refer to as the Construction Administration phase.

Once the concept boards (including finishes, fixtures, and any other necessary equipment) are presented to the client and we have come to an approved final layout for the project, we move on to creating the construction drawings. This stage is essential since the drawings act as the main communication tool for all contractors and consultants working on the project. Construction drawings are used for three primary purposes: permitting, bidding, and construction.

After answering a comprehensive questionnaire and completing the Pre-Design phase, our clients are ready for the next phase in the design project: Design Development. This phase is where we get into ALL the details.
