WHAT ARE YOUR OFFICE HOURS? 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

DO YOU HAVE A WAIT LIST? Yes. My average wait time is between 6-8 weeks, depending on the time of year. I understand that there are special circumstances where you need to start right away. I offer a ‘rush’ service at a premium which allows you to move to the top of the waitlist.

HOW MANY HOURS DOES A TYPICAL PROJECT TAKE? The average furnishing project takes approximately 12-20 hours per room. The average construction project takes longer, generally 20-30 hours minimum. This is dependent on the size of the space, extent of scope, level of detail, amount of existing furnishings to be reused, etc. The best way for me to give you an accurate estimate is to schedule an in person consultation.

WHAT IS THE TYPICAL DURATION OF A PROJECT? The average furnishing project takes anywhere from 3-4 months from start to finish, depending on your decision making speed. The average construction project takes roughly about 3-4 months of planning and design, and anywhere from 1-9 months for the construction work to be completed, depending on the extent of the scope.

HOW MUCH DOES A TYPICAL ROOM COST TO FURNISH? The average room ranges between $5,000-$10,000 in furnishings exclusive of shipping and taxes. This is dependent of size, scope and the amount of existing pieces you will be reusing. Furnishing budgets include all costs down to the last throw pillow.

WHERE DO YOU SOURCE PRODUCT FROM? I primarily source from retail locations, meaning sources anyone can purchase from. This is to allow you to control the purchasing component of the project and reduce design fees. If you are interested in purchasing from trade only retailers I’m happy to do that as well.

DO YOU WORK WITH CONTRACTORS? I work with the contractors hired by the client. I enjoy working with other design professionals and find they are an integral part of the process. I prefer to use professionals that I have worked with on previous projects for efficiency and quality control. However, I am happy to work with your preferred contractor as well. I can also provide recommendations when necessary.

WHAT ABOUT BUDGET? I can work within your budget, whether you are looking for a completely custom masterpiece or more along the lines of Pottery Barn or a mix of the two. Having a budget is very important for the project running smoothly and for your expectations to be met.

HOW DO YOU CHARGE? I charge hourly. You will be invoiced at the beginning of each month for the previous month’s time. Please refer to my price list for current rates. Invoices will include a monthly timesheet with descriptions for each hour billed.

HOW DO YOU ACCEPT PAYMENT? Invoices will come directly to your email and can be paid via credit card, Venmo, Paypal or personal check.

WHEN ARE PAYMENTS DUE? Invoices for time billed are due by the end of the month. Past due invoices will accrue a 1.5% late fee per month and all work will cease until invoice is paid.

WHAT IF I DECIDE MID-PROJECT I WANT TO ADD MORE TO THE SCOPE? Since I work hourly, increasing the scope is not a problem. This may, however, impact the schedule and overall date of completion.
